Comments:Hi my name is Ryan and I have an antique Italian switchblade with elk horn and is in very good shape and have payed very good money for it but the spring that ejects the blade has a broken weld and has come out, how much would you charge to fix something like that and how can I get a hold of you? Thank you for your time.

Comments:I own an old Italian switchblade with Sambar stag grips. It is in very good condition with one exception: it appears that the second hand shop I had purchased it from intentionally broke the spring out of it. I found your site while searching for a replacement spring, and was hoping you could contact me to inform me if you may be able and willing to repair it. The name on the knife is TEJA&C. Is it worth repairing?

Comments:Hi: I was recommended to you by Jay Maines. He indicated he cannot help me but thought you might be able to. I have a 35 year old Desperado folding knife with a scrimshaw ivory handle. I loaned it to someone who hammered the blade into something and now the knife won't lock. It'll open and close but won't lock open. Jay said you work on folding knives. I've contact half a dozen knife repair people and so far have had no luck. I'm hoping you can help. Also the blade is slightly chipped. The knife has more sentimental value than anything else. Is this something you can repair? Thank you. Mike Woodliff Smyrna, Georgia mjwsmy45@charter.net

Question about John Primble Belknap 2335
Comments:I love your website. I have found more info here in 2 minutes than in 2 hours searching the web. I just started collecting pocket knives and I have a pocket knife (John Primble #2335 w/star Hdw & Mfg Co. on blade- 2 blades) given to me for my 47th B-day from my husband (Steve Burke- Corbin KY). It was his GGgrandfathers knife. Do you know anything about this name brand knife? Also, I saw that a Wm Burke Primble was a grandfather of John, or something like that. Do you know if the name "Burke" was mother's maiden name? I will tell others about your site FOR SURE!!! Thank you so much for your website and your time. I know you are very busy! Comments:I just received my two knives(one for myself and one for my brother), and we both were treated to a nice surprise. The handles, contour perfectly to our hands, mine are medium and he has a large sized hand. And it feels so secure. And the leather sheaths are just great, well crafted and sturdy. Kaleb is a great artisan. He makes one of the best handling bushcraft knives I have held and own(from a collection of about 15 bushcraft styled knives) if not the best so far. Thanks also for your great customer service.

He has the ability to take your vision and make it a bit better than you had hoped. I had him rehandle a schatt waterfall cell into stag because of gassing out of the celluloid. Also he did for me a rehandle on a Fightn Rooster knife that I wanted something new on. And let me tell you it came out fantastic. I would highly encourage you to let mm do some work for you, you will be very pleased indeed. Perry

Comments:I cannot be any happier with the work that Kaleb (Muskrat Man) did on a knife for me. I had an old Schrade 204S that was in pretty ratty condition. The wood handles looked atrocious and the blades were so rusty it was hard to tell there were blades there. The blades had absolutely no walk and talk at all. I was sure this knife was destined for the garage heap (where I keep all my knives that are no longer serviceable). Well, I sent it to Kaleb and what I got back was a work of art. He transformed a worthless heap of wood and metal into a beautiful knife. The wood looks like it just came off of the tree and the blades look like they were just forged. As soon as I got it back, it went to the most distinguished place I could put a knife: my front pocket. I get compliments on the knife every time I take it out. Thanks Muskrat!

Comments:I have nothing but great things to say about MuskratMan Customs. I have purchased two custom hawkbills from him and I must say his work is excellent and affordable. If you want to purchase a customized knife or have one that you would like to customize I highly recommend him. I know I plan on having him customize more of my knives in the future.

Comments:Muskrat Man has re-handled four Case folders for me. They were each done in a different wood-screwbean mesquite, ebony, bocote, and maple burl. They are works of art. I am very happy with each one.
